Why I moved to Telegram messenger
--
Like everyone else in this generation, I love instant messaging. I started instant messaging way back when we had Nokia phones running on Symbian OS. Those days it was magical since it was probably faster and real-time compared email and SMS. Something was different those days all I was focusing on was getting in touch ‘Instantly’ nothing more.
I first used WhatsApp messenger in 2013 on a Nokia phone I remember it was a Nokia-c3. This was double the magic and by then WhatsApp had groups. If you asked me then on what I thought of WhatsApp I would probably tell you that it is the ultimate messenger.
Things happen and 2016 came I was changing phones often most of the time I used to lose my chats especially when I forgot to back them up this was so irritating. With time I realized that WhatsApp lacks Some basic features like editing, deleting and being able to access your messages across one’s devices- I mean no one has only one device these days. I’m sorry but have to say this WhatsApp is kind of “stone age” now.
After having enough of WhatsApp I moved to Telegram just to try it. I couldn't believe I had missed out on. A new era of messaging, a native app on every platform and on the web. none of these requires you to have another. it is like a distributed messaging platform how cool is that?
In addition to the above awesomeness, Telegram is also open to developers through their APIs. What more do you need to hear?
